Cremation
The most common type of funeral is cremation. This usually takes place at the local crematorium. As crematoriums are not religious buildings you can have the option of a religious or non-religious service. However you may wish to opt for a service in church which would then be followed by a short committal service at the crematorium.
We will ensure that all the necessary statutory forms for cremation are completed and presented to the Crematorium prior to the service on your behalf.
Following a cremation, you may wish to have the cremated remains scattered in the Garden Of Rest at the crematorium or interred at a burial ground so that there is a permanent monument and place to visit. Most burial grounds have a separate area dedicated to this which we can advise you on.
